Birkie Trail ski passes are required November – March to ski on any part of the 100+ km American Birkebeiner Trail System including the Tormondsen Snowmaking Loops. 100% of funds collected go toward our growing costs to maintain the trail.

Upon arrival for the volunteer shift, check in with Birkie Store staff inside the Hub building. From there you will be instructed on how to assist skiers to purchase a pass. 

Upon Registering to Volunteer at ANY American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation Events or Programs, Volunteers Agree to Abide by the Code of Conduct

Volunteers will receive a Ski You Later Hoodie from the Birkie Store as a Thank You gift AFTER COMPLETING TWO TRAIL PASS SHIFTS, as well as a cup of coffee OR scone from Backroads.
